About this Book

This book sets out to see the Hebrew prophets with fresh wonder, after the increasingly complex and often aris way in which they have been discussed by specialist biblical scholars. It keeps in mind their relation to the religious intermediaries of other peoples, to great proets of all times, and to their own liturgical tradition.
